now it comes to the step of image selecting. In the beginning, I wanted to do something that is combined by a numerous photos (a combination of at least 5 to 6 images into one). The images originally planned are something surealistic, for example, the repetition of the same objects in one space or a party inside a shelf.
after I realize if I make those three images too complicate and nothing to connect them in between, they wont be looking like a series.
therefore, I start to simplify what major ideas i want my picture to present, and use elements such as cage, shadow and net to present the idea of “stealing/been took away”.
those three will be combined with the following photos:

brain stom for the fake real/real fake

-To decide a main concept for a serial project really took me a lot of time on thinking
-hours and hours of browsing others’ works and web images, wished something will came out
-finally, after i scanned ober 30 to 40 pictures from magazines, albums… i decide to pick the word “thief” -as my major concept.
the work will be presented vertically as the way the human body is.-those three pieces stand for the different parts of our body- they are the brain (fun thief), body(heart thief), and feet (freedom thief).
then the next step is to pick the right images and start to work on combining. however, it starts to feel a bit easier now
